JAMMU: In a landmark moment that symbolizes India’s rise as a confident, stable, and globally respected nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today became the second longest-serving Prime Minister in the history of independent India, completing 4,078 consecutive days in office, said Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge, J&K BJP.
This historic milestone, surpassing the tenure of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, stands as a powerful testament to the transformative leadership, governance stability, and deep-rooted public trust that have defined PM Modi’s era. Under his guidance, India has witnessed sweeping reforms, unprecedented infrastructure growth, robust economic performance, national security consolidation, and the emergence of a new global identity, making his tenure one of the most impactful in Indian history.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra hailed the occasion as a moment of great pride for the nation. “Prime Minister Modi’s uninterrupted journey of over 11 years at the national level, and nearly 24 years in elected leadership, reflects not just longevity but historic achievement. He has brought political continuity, policy decisiveness, and a vision rooted in Bharat’s civilizational ethos with a modern outlook,” he said.
Dr. Mahotra emphasized that PM Modi is the first and only Prime Minister born after independence, the longest-serving non-Congress PM, and the only non-Congress leader to complete two full terms with successive full majorities. He has led the BJP to six consecutive major electoral victories including three in Gujarat and three at the national level marking him as the only Indian leader since Jawaharlal Nehru to win three straight Lok Sabha elections.
“His leadership has redefined India’s governance model, focused on development, digital transformation, welfare delivery, and national pride. From securing borders to strengthening the economy, from empowering the poor to elevating India’s global image, PM Modi’s tenure is a golden chapter in our democratic and national journey,” Dr. Mahotra added.
