JAMMU: Government College for Women Parade today celebrated Earth Day in which students of the college participated with full enthusiasm. In this context a quiz competition on the theme, ‘Our Power, Our Planet’ was organized by Science Club in collaboration with the department of Environmental Science.
Principal of the College Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo reiterated the importance of saving energy and promoting the use of renewable energy resources. Prizes were distributed to the first three winning teams along with certificates to all the participants. Faculty members, Dr. Harmanmeet Kour, Dr. Aasia Rashid Bhat, Dr. Sarita Parihar, Prof. Surbhi Gupta and Dr. Pervaiz Ahmed attended the programme.
