AWANTIPORA: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, J&K Police seized Mechanized Motor Boat in Awantipora. A Police party of Police Post Reshipora headed by Incharge PP Reshipors under the supervision of SHO PS Awantipora seized one Mechanized motor boat used for illicit extraction of sand from river Jehulm at Reshipora.
The individuals involved have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Ahad Bhat, Feroz Ah Bhat son of Abdul Ahad Bhat, Rayees Ah Bhat son of Abdul Ahad Bhat all residents of Reshipora. Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 49/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood.
