PULWAMA: J&K Police continued its sustained drive against illegal mining activities across the district Pulwama and seized several vehicles involved in unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals in separate actions.
During an operation conducted in Lassipora, Police Post Lassipora seized one dumper bearing registration No. JK13K-5172 involved in illegal mining activities. In this regard, cognizance was taken and an FIR No 61/2026 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Litter. In another action, Police Station Litter during patrolling duty at Nikloora seized one loader, one dumper and one tractor while illegally extracting and loading minerals from Rambiara Nallah. In this connection, case FIR No. 60/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Litter and investigation has been taken up.
Police remains committed towards strict action against illegal mining activities and appeals to the general public to cooperate with police in protecting natural resources and maintaining law and order.
