BARAMULLA: Continuing its drive against illegal extraction and transportation of mineral resources, J&K Police seized a vehicle involved in unauthorized transportation of minerals in Baramulla.
A Police party during routine patrolling near Batpora Bridge, Kunzer intercepted a vehicle (tipper) bearing registration No. JK05C-4195, driven by Shakeel Ahmad Magray son of Mohd Yousuf resident of Bungam. The vehicle was found loaded with Nalla Bajri. Upon inspection, the driver failed to produce any valid permission or documents for the transportation of the material.
Accordingly, the vehicle was seized on the spot, and a case FIR No. 41/2026 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Kunzer. Further investigation into the matter has been initiated. J&K Police reiterates its commitment to curb illegal mining and urges the public to report such activities to the nearest police unit.
