PULWAMA: Police in Pulwama conducted a Civil Defence Air Raid and Blackout Mock Drill Exercise at District Police Lines, Pulwama, in a well-coordinated and systematic manner to assess preparedness and emergency response mechanisms. The exercise was conducted under the supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama and the Additional Superintendent of Police Pulwama, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution at all levels.

The primary objective of the drill was to evaluate the level of readiness, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and ensure a swift and effective response during emergency situations. Various components including warning systems, evacuation procedures, response strategies, and real-time communication mechanisms were tested during the exercise.

Pulwama Police, in coordination with Civil Defence, SDRF, and other allied agencies, ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the drill. Public awareness measures were also undertaken to avoid panic and to ensure cooperation from the general public. The exercise concluded smoothly, reflecting the commitment of J&K Police and all stakeholders towards enhancing disaster preparedness and ensuring public safety.
