AWANTIPORA: Continuing its efforts against illegal mining and unauthorized extraction of minerals, Police in Awantipora carried out action at different locations and seized seven tractors involved in illegal mining activities.
During routine patrolling, Police Station Tral detected illegal mining activities at Gamraz area of Tral. Acting swiftly, police seized four (04) tractors involved in the illegal extraction of minerals on the spot. Similarly, Police Post Reshipora also conducted action against illegal mining and seized three (03) tractors involved in unauthorized extraction of minerals in the Reshipora area.
Police remain committed towards taking strict action against illegal mining activities and urge the general public to cooperate and report such unlawful activities to the nearest police establishment.
