KISHTWAR: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) meeting for Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) was convened today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (Chairman DLTFC) Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma. The flagship employment generation scheme is being implemented by the Khadi Village and Industries Board Kishtwar.

The Committee undertook a detailed review of 44 loan proposals placed before it. After due scrutiny, 31 cases were approved, while 07 applicants remained absent, 03 cases were deferred for review and 03 cases were rejected in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

Under the approved cases, the total project cost stands at ₹227.20 lakh, with a total bank loan component of ₹215.84 lakh and a margin money component of ₹79.52 lakh.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the timely processing of approved cases and effective coordination among departments and financial institutions to ensure early grounding of projects and sustainable employment generation in the district.

The DLTFC, constituted under JKREGP and implemented by the Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (J&K KVIB), aims to promote self-employment and strengthen livelihood opportunities by supporting local entrepreneurs across the district.

The meeting was attended by GM DIC Dr. Rishi Kumar Sharma; LDM Harsh Rawal; representatives of RSETI, Polytechnic, JK Bank Cluster Office, J&K Grameen Bank, ITI and the In-Charge District KVIB Officer along with other concerned stakeholders.
