RAMBAN: In line with the directives of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, an awareness camp on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and PM Vishwakarma Scheme was today held here at the Government Polytechnic.
The event was organized by the District Industries Centre (DIC), in collaboration with Government Polytechnic College, Chanderkote as per the guidelines of Director Industries & Commerce Jammu.
During the event, the General Manager DIC R.K. Anand informed the participants about the salient features and numerous benefits of these Government of India flagship schemes, which aim to promote self-employment, entrepreneurship and skill development among youth.
The Functional Manager DIC also engaged with the students, sharing the procedures for availing benefits from these schemes. Principal Er. Vivek Mahajan along with faculty members and students actively contributed to the session.
Speakers stressed the significance of such awareness programs in inspiring youth towards self-reliance and supporting the Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission. Participants expressed gratitude to the District Administration and the Department of Industries & Commerce for the informative session, acknowledging its role in providing valuable insights into entrepreneurship and skill-based livelihood opportunities.
