CBC Udhampur organised Outreach Programme at village Lande

UDHAMPUR: Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office, Udhampur today organised one day Integrated Outreach and Communication Programme on Flagship Programmes of Government of India with emphasis on the New Criminal Laws 2023  at Government Higher Secondary School, Lander Udhampur. 

Sh. Jasvir Singh ,  Member  District Development Council  Panchari  was Chief guest during the Programme. While  appreciating the role of CBC Udhampur, he said that for awareness of Welfare Schemes of Government of India, CBC is playing it's role in effective way.  Sh. Jasvir said that it's  prime duty of all to protect our environment and work towards achieving the dream of Green and Clean India. 

The aim of the programme is to intensify the awareness campaign of the Welfare Schemes of Government with emphasis  on the  importance of Swachh Bharat Mission, which aims to  make India Open Defecation free and make India Green and Clean and awareness of New Criminal Laws. 

While delivering expert Lecture, Sh. Sahil Dogra Representative from Block Development Office Panchari, stressed upon the importance of Clean India, Green India and Urged all especially the local students to contribute for making  Village Lander  garbage free . He also said that categorisation of the waste material helps for effective disposal & waste management. 

Sh. Kishore Sharma from Govt. Higher Secondary Lander delivered address on the National Education Policy 2020 and threw light on the various aspects of it. Speaking on the Occasion, Sh. Darshan Singh, Senior Prosecuting Officer , District Police Headquarters, Udhampur delivered address on the New Criminal Laws. While explaining the various aspects of the New Criminal Laws, Sh. Darshan said that drastic changes are visible in Crime Reporting Mechanism and paradigm criminal Justice System under the New Criminal Laws. 

Sh. Singh further elaborated on  E-FIR, Zero FIR, E- appearance , and other relevant & Important sections and articles of BNS2023. During the day long programme various activities were organised by CBC Udhampur including Open Quiz Competition on Swachh Bharat Mission(SBM), distribution of Dustbins to school to promote the idea of SBM, Expert Lectures and Magic Show by the empanelled Troupe of CBC . 

 Sh. Gurnam Singh from CBC Udhampur conducted Open Quiz Competition and moderated the day long event. Field Publicity Officer, CBC, Udhampur, Sh. Khursheed Yousuf while welcoming the guests gave a detailed overview of the functioning, structure and working of CBC, in the twin UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Sh. Khursheed said that these programmes are being organized so that people get benefits of various public welfare schemes of the government.  

Sh. Surjeet Singh, Principal Govt. Higher Secondary School, Lander  presented Vote of Thanks in the programme. Others Present during the event were Sh. Jugal Kishore, from CBC Regional Office Jammu, Sh.Rajinder Sharma, PRI Member,  Lecturers, Teachers  and locals.  Dustbins were also donated to the school by CBC Udhampur  and IEC material on Welfare Schemes  was also distributed among the teachers and students.
