KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today visited the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Devsar to review healthcare facilities and assess staff availability. During the visit, the DC inspected various units of the health centre, closely examining essential services, availability of medical equipment, and deployment of medical and paramedical staff.
He also interacted with healthcare professionals and patients to gather on-ground feedback regarding the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of healthcare services. Highlighting the importance of timely and reliable healthcare delivery at the grassroots level, the DC directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted patient care, maintain adequate staff presence, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
The DC also reviewed ongoing works, including finishing works to the newly constructed hospital building, development of the parking area, and fencing around the premises. The Executive Engineer informed him that the finishing works and parking area have been completed, while fencing work is currently underway. The DC instructed concerned to ensure its early completion.
It is pertinent to mention that the hospital has already been fully shifted to the new building. ADC, Tehsildar Devsar, and other officers accompanied the DC during the visit.
