RAMBAN: The State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI), Ramban today organized a Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the pass out trainees of the Women’s Tailoring and Beauty Parlor Training Programmes. The event marked the culmination of intensive skill development courses aimed at empowering rural women through self-employment opportunities and sustainable livelihood generation.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Arun Gupta was the Chief Guest. In his address, he congratulated the trainees for successfully completing their respective training programmes and urged them to utilize their newly acquired skills to become self-reliant and contribute positively to society. He further encouraged the women participants to serve as role models, inspiring other girls to pursue vocational education and embrace self-reliant livelihoods.

“Skill is the true strength of a person; by using your knowledge and talent effectively, you can bring a positive change not only in your family but also in your community,” the SSP remarked.

Earlier, the Director RSETI S. Harvinder Singh, briefed the Chief Guest about the diverse range of training programmes offered by the institute to promote employability and entrepreneurship in rural areas. He also apprised the participants about credit linkage support and post-training assistance available through SBI and government-sponsored schemes for establishing income-generating ventures.

The event was hosted by Course Coordinator Amrik Singh Raju, who outlined the objectives of the training programmes and highlighted RSETI’s mission of fostering skill development, entrepreneurship and financial independence among rural youth and women. The ceremony concluded with the signature RSETI Claps, symbolizing unity, enthusiasm and commitment to the cause of self-employment and women empowerment.
