BARAMULLA: Continuing its sustained efforts under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan to spread awareness against drug abuse among youth, J&K Police in collaboration with Madina Public High School Baleharan today organised a comprehensive anti-drug awareness programme.

The programme commenced with a Mini Marathon from NHW Baleharan to Gund Khawaja Qasim, aimed at promoting the message of a healthy and drug-free society. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, staff members, and members of the local community. The event was ceremonially flagged off by the SDPO Pattan. Following the marathon, a grand felicitation ceremony was held at the premises of Madina Public School Gund Khawaja Qasim. During the programme, distinguished guests and faculty members delivered insightful lectures on the theme of Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, emphasizing the harmful effects of drug abuse and the crucial role of youth in building a responsible and progressive society.

Speakers highlighted the importance of collective community efforts in combating the menace of drugs and encouraged students to become ambassadors of awareness within their respective communities. The programme concluded with a felicitation ceremony in which participants were appreciated for their active involvement and commitment towards the cause of a drug-free society. The event was held in the presence of the SDPO Pattan.

Police remains committed towards strengthening police-public partnership and will continue organising such awareness initiatives across the district to safeguard youth and promote a healthier society.
