DODA: Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh today flagged off a newly procured 6000-litre capacity water tanker for public service in Doda. The event was held in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Anil Kumar Thakur; Superintending Engineer (SE) Jal Shakti Department, Executive Engineer (XEN) PHE Division Doda and other officials of the Jal Shakti Department.

The newly introduced water tanker was procured by the Jal Shakti (PHE) Division Doda to address the pressing issue of drinking water scarcity in certain areas of the district. The initiative aims to ensure uninterrupted supply of safe drinking water to the local population, particularly in regions facing temporary shortages due to technical facults or seasonal challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Harvinder Singh said that the District Administration is committed to improving water infrastructure, ensuring that every household has access to clean and adequate drinking water. He further emphasized government’s continuous efforts under the Jal Jeevan Mission and other water conservation initiatives to provide sustainable solutions for the people of Doda. He also appealed to the public to use water judiciously and support the administration’s initiatives aimed at achieving long-term water security in the district.
