JAMMU: The second randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) for the bye-election to 77-Nagrota Assembly Constituency of Parliamentary Constituency 5-Jammu was conducted today at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Jammu. The process was carried out to allocate EVMs and VVPATs polling station-wise through the EVM Management System (EMS) of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The second randomisation was conducted by the Returning Officer of 77-Nagrota Assembly Constituency in the presence of contesting candidates or their representatives and General Observer Kunal Siku. The exercise was carried out in accordance with the storage and security protocols prescribed by the Election Commission of India.

After the completion of the randomisation, lists of polling station-wise allocated and reserved EVMs and VVPATs were shared with all contesting candidates. These EVMs and VVPATs will be used at their respective polling stations on the poll day.
