JAMMU: Sunil Dimple, President of Mission Statehood, spearheaded a vehement protest against Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) following a deadly encounter at the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara, Kashmir, which resulted in the death of one soldier and serious injuries to five others. Demonstrators burned Pakistani flags and effigies of the ISI and BAT, expressing their outrage over the incident.

Addressing the protesters, Dimple condemned the actions of the Pakistan Army's BAT, labeling it a cowardly act perpetrated by trained militants and terrorists. He called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to initiate a war with Pakistan, aiming for the liberation of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit-Baltistan, and to hoist the tricolor flag in Lahore.

Dimple accused Pakistan of waging a proxy war, stating that various districts are now akin to war zones. He compared the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir to the tumultuous period of the 1990s, noting an increase in militant threats, especially in the Jammu region where army schools have been closed.

He further alleged that militancy is on the rise in areas such as Chenab Valley, Doda, Kishtwar, Banihal, Ramban, Pir Panjal, Poonch, and Rajouri districts. Dimple blamed intelligence failures for the infiltration of militants and the ease with which they carry out attacks and escape across borders.

Dimple criticized the BJP-led NDA government at the center, accusing it of avoiding assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah address Parliament regarding the increasing militancy and cross-border infiltration by foreign-trained militants.

Reaffirming Jammu and Kashmir's status as an integral part of India, Dimple warned the ISI, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir will remain part of India. Prominent leaders such as Ashok Sharma, Arjun Anand, Sachin Soi, Satpal Sharma, Rupesh Bhat, and Ajay Kumar were also present at the protest, lending their support to the cause.
