SRINAGAR:  Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh, celebrated World Heart Day in a unique and picturesque way by organizing an awareness activity at the iconic Dal Lake, Srinagar. Students of healthcare streams, including Paramedical, pharmacy, nursing, and physiotherapy, along with staff, displayed colorful banners on boats, encouraging people to adopt heart-friendly lifestyles.

The floating celebration attracted both locals and tourists, serving as a symbolic reminder that health and nature go hand in hand. The initiative reflected Aryans’ commitment to blending education, social responsibility, and community engagement. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, said:

“World Heart Day reminds us to take care of the most vital organ that keeps us alive. At Aryans, we spread such messages innovatively. By celebrating this day on Dal Lake, we wanted to inspire people to connect with their health as well as the environment. Kashmir has always been the ‘Heart of the Nation,’ so there could not be a better place to mark this important day.”

Dr. Kataria also recalled that Aryans had organized a Shikara Race at Dal Lake last year, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of tourists. Over the years, Aryans students have carried out many innovative projects in the Valley, including Shikara App, Solar Boat, Ramadhan App, Android App, eMunshi App, Safety Helmet, Save Kashmir, and Life Saving Glove.

World Heart Day, observed globally on 29th September, spreads awareness about preventing heart diseases and inspires people to adopt a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise, balanced diet, and stress management.
