JAMMU: 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Har Ghar Swadeshi' campaign undertaken by Bharatiya Janata Party, on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make India self-reliant, stated Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu, Spokesperson, J&K BJP.
Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu said that the BJP's launching of campaign to mark the birth anniversary of party ideologues Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya and Former PM Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee for Atmanirbhar Bharat and Har Ghar Swadeshi is to carry forward the vision of the PM Narender Modi to make Bharat a Viksit Rashtra by 2047. The objective of this campaign is to engage the whole nation and create mass awareness that the path to the Atmanirbhar Bharat goes through the use of Swadeshi products, he said.
Dr. Shishu said that this campaign will carry forward the message of PM Narendar Modi to 1.4 billion Indians that whatever we purchase, should be made in India, containing the sweat of our countrymen. He said that the PM has urged all the Indian shopkeepers to display on the board of their respective shops in bold writing 'Garv Se Kaho Yaha Swadeshi Hai’.
“BJP through this massive campaign launched on 25 September, the birthday of our inspiration Pt. Deendayal Upadhayay and to be culminated on 25th December, birthday of Bharat Ratan Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, shall engage every Indian to make Swadeshi initiative, a mass movement,” said Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu.
Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu attributed the significant increase in the sale of Khadi, which reached Rs. 1,70,000 crores, from Rs. 31000 crores in UPA regime, to the call of PM Modi. He said that PM Modi had urged the countrymen in 2019 to adopt the mantra of ' Vocal for Local'. Similarly, following the PM's Mantra of ' Make in India' in 2014, the number of mobile factories has reached 300 from just two mobile companies and 99.2% of mobiles are now made in India, stated Dr. Shishu.
Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu further said that during the UPA regime, mobile exports were only Rs. 15000 crores, whereas today it has increased to Rs. 200000 crores. Similarly toy imports have decreased by 52% whereas in automobile manufacturing, tractor production ranks first in the world today. It’s the vision of the Hon'ble Prime Minister and the commitment of his government that there is a manifold increase in the export of the manufacturing sectors.
It makes amply clear that the resolve and mantra of ' MAKE IN INDIA' have yielded the results and today we have emerged as the fourth- largest economy of the world and day is not far away when we reach number three largest economy in the world, said Dr Shishu.
