JAMMU: BJP Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir, Pawan Sharma, has hailed Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s appeal to promote and purchase Indian-made local products, describing it as a historic step towards realizing the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Sharma said that the Prime Minister’s call is not just an appeal but a national mission that will transform India’s economy and society. “By preferring indigenous products, we will strengthen domestic industries, boost entrepreneurship, and create millions of jobs. This is the foundation stone for India’s economic independence,” he remarked.
Highlighting the immense potential of Jammu & Kashmir in this mission, Sharma pointed out that the region is home to world-famous products like Pashmina shawls, Basohli paintings, saffron, walnuts, rajma, honey, and other handicrafts, which can gain global recognition and wider markets if supported through this movement.
“Prime Minister Modi Ji’s vision of Vocal for Local is a call to action for every Indian. It will reduce dependency on imports, save foreign exchange, and establish India as a global hub for manufacturing and innovation,” he said.
Sharma also appealed to the youth, entrepreneurs, traders, and consumers of J&K to come forward and contribute actively. He assured that the BJP under the leadership of PM Modi Ji will extend full support in terms of infrastructure, logistics, and digital platforms to promote local industries.
“India’s rise as a self-reliant nation depends on the collective resolve of its citizens. If we take pride in buying Indian, the dream of a prosperous, empowered, and globally leading Bharat will soon become a reality,” Sharma concluded.
