KATRA: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Technology Business Incubation Center (SMVDU-TBIC) participated in the prestigious Jammu Kashmir Konnect interactive session, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI)held at the JKEDI campus in Bari Brahmna. The event aimed to promote collaboration andinnovation within Jammu & Kashmir's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The session, hosted by ShriRajinder Sharma, Director of JKEDI, featured Shri Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director of DPIIT,Government of India, as the keynote speaker. The event brought together key stakeholders,including heads of incubation centers, their teams, and prominent startups affiliated withincubators across Jammu & Kashmir. Representing SMVDU-TBIC, CEO Dr. Sanjay Mohan, along with Business Manager, Ms. DivyeDuheta Mahajan and Committee Member Dr. Ankush Raina, actively contributed to the discussions, offering valuable insights.During the session, SMVDU-TBIC emphasized several critical aspects vital for the growth andsuccess of the startup ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir.

The team called for greater collaborationamong stakeholders from different incubators to create a unified community plan aimed atsupporting and uplifting startups. Additionally, they highlighted the importance of establishing arobust mentorship network that would guide startups through every stage of their development.SMVDU-TBIC also expressed a strong interest in exploring DPIIT’s schemes that could furtherenhance the capabilities of both incubators and startups.

The interactive session provided aninvaluable platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, discuss ongoing developments, andstrategize ways to nurture entrepreneurship in Jammu & Kashmir.
