RAJOURI: The District Administration Rajouri today celebrated 75 years of the Constitution of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, reflecting the district’s deep respect for the nation’s guiding principles. The celebrations commenced with a vibrant mini marathon themed “Run for Justice, Liberty, Equality & Fraternity.”
Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma flagged off the marathon and motivated participants to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution. The run concluded at Dak Bungalow, where the participants joined collective reading of the Preamble, reaffirming their commitment to constitutional ideals. An exhilarating exhibition, depicting the Constitution’s evolution, significance and its role in nation-building was also held at the evenue.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that every citizen must follow and uphold the ideals of the Constitution to strengthen democracy and foster inclusive growth. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Sikarwar said that the Constitution guides every individual towards justice, liberty, equality and fraternity, the foundational principles that unite and empower the nation.
The event also included the live address of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, attended by officers, students and citizens, making the celebration a meaningful and educative observance of Constitution Day in District Rajouri.
