JAMMU: The two day training programme on Sevottam for Grievance Redressal concluded today at the Convention Centre, Jammu, with brain storming sessions and deliberations. Organized by the J&K IMPARD in collaboration with the Department of Public Grievances (DoPG), the programme was aimed at strengthening the grievance redressal frameworks across Jammu region departments. The training sessions familiarized the officials with the Sevottam guidelines and best practices enabling them to ensure timely resolution of public grievances.
Union Additional Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), Puneet Yadav, virtually inaugurated the programme yesterday. He underlined the importance of citizen-centric governance and robust grievance redressal mechanisms to enhance the public service delivery. Director General, J&K IMPARD, Rehana Batul, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the significance of Sevottam standards in ensuring accountability and responsiveness in government systems.
The context of the programme was set by Professor Reva Sharma, who emphasized the evolving expectations of citizens and the need for systematic reforms. The Vote of Thanks in the inaugural session was presented by Dr. Kusum Chib, Joint Director, IMPARD. A total of 250 officers and officials from the districts of Jammu, Reasi, Kathua, Udhampur and Samba attended the training programme.
During the programme, key sessions were conducted by Puneet Yadav, Additional Secretary, DARPG followed by Sarita Chauhan, Joint Secretary DARPG through virtual mode. Besides, BISAG team delivered session on dedicated technical modules focusing on digital tools and monitoring mechanisms for effective grievance management.
As a gesture of appreciation, mementoes were presented to Puneet Yadav, Sarita Chauhan, Parthasarthy Bharat, Deputy Secretary DARPG virtually and Narinder Kour, Additional Secretary DoPG in person.
