RAMBAN: The District Administration Ramban today observed Samvidhan Diwas (Constitution Day) with the ceremonial reading of the Preamble, commemorating the adoption of the Indian Constitution and reaffirming commitment to its guiding principles. The observance began with the virtual Preamble Reading led by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, attended by participants in online mode. In Ramban district, the event was held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Alyas Khan.
At the District Headquarters, the Deputy Commissioner led the Preamble Reading Ceremony, which witnessed active participation of senior officers including ACR, Showkat Hayat Mattoo, Tehsildar, Deep Kumar, ALC, Amit Kumar, Executive Engineers of PWD, Jal Shakti and JPDCL, CAHO, CHO and DSHO and other officers and officials. Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the Constitution as the foundation of India’s democracy, unity and inclusive development. He urged all officers and citizens to uphold the constitutional values of justice, equality, liberty and fraternity in their daily conduct.
Preamble Reading ceremonies, awareness programmes, blood donation camps, cleanliness drives and “Samvidhan Run for Rights” were organized across Sub-Divisions, Tehsils Blocks, Panchayats, Colleges and Schools. The district-wide observance served as a solemn reminder of the shared duty to work towards a progressive, inclusive and harmonious India, honoring the vision of the framers of the Constitution.
