BHADERWAH: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal today chaired a meeting here at the Dak Bungalow to review and finalize the necessary arrangements for the celebration of Independence Day 2026, in the Sub District.
Detailed discussions were held on seating arrangement, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, fire & emergency and issuance of invitation cards.
The ADC informed that the main function would be held in the premises of New Bus Stand, where the Chief Guest would unfurl the National flag at 8:55AM, followed by a march past parade by contingents of JKAP, NCC, Senior division, NCC, Junior division and tiny platoons from government and private schools.
Students from various schools will also present cultural programmes on the occasion. Officers were instructed to illuminate government buildings and offices. It was also decided that the day shall start with the playing of Shenai Vadan by the Information Department Bhaderwah.
The ADC directed the officers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Health and Police department to make adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the National festival. Municipal committee was asked to maintain cleanliness in the town as well as at the venue.
The meeting was attended by Principal Government Degree College Bhaderwah, Divisional Manager, JKFDC, Dy-Comdt 33Bn CRPF, SHO, Executive Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control, Tehsildar Bhaderwah, Child Development Project Officer, Block Medical officer, Live Stock Development Officer, Principal Boys Higher secondary school, Executive Officer Municipal Committee, Zonal Education Officer, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Jal Shakti Department, PMGSY Department, JKPDCL Department and representatives of various other departments were also present in the meeting.
