SRINAGAR: The Cultural Unit Srinagar of Information Department organised various programmes in different schools of Srinagar to mark the Independence Day Celebrations, 2026.
The activities, held at GHS Harwan, GBHSS Jawaharnagar and GBHS Brane, included competitions in Painting, Speech, Quiz and Singing, providing young students a meaningful platform to express their patriotism, creativity and reverence for the nation and the sacrifices of its freedom fighters. The students participated with remarkable enthusiasm and wholehearted involvement, adding vibrant patriotic fervour to the celebrations.
The initiatives aimed at nurturing patriotic consciousness among young minds and acquainting them with the values of freedom, unity, sacrifice and national integrity. The Cultural Officer Kashmir and AECO appreciated the spirited involvement of the students and expressed gratitude to the school authorities for their valuable cooperation and support, which contributed to the successful conduct of the programmes.
