GANDERBAL: As part of the security preparedness for ongoing SANJY-2026, police in Ganderbal, in close coordination with the Army, CAPFs and other concerned agencies, conducted a joint mock drill at Wandhama Pandit Colony focusing on Urban Area Room Intervention.

The exercise was aimed at enhancing operational readiness, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and validating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for swift and effective response to security contingencies in urban settings. The participating teams rehearsed coordinated room intervention techniques, evacuation procedures, and tactical response mechanisms to ensure seamless coordination during emergencies.

Police remains committed to maintain the highest standards of preparedness and coordination with all stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims, and visitors during SANJY-2026.
