- Calls for coordinated efforts, encouraging maximum public participation
KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the preparations for the smooth conduct of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ campaigns in the district.
The meeting discussed the proposed day-wise activities and programmes to be organised under the twin campaigns, besides deliberating upon the role and responsibilities of various departments for ensuring their effective implementation.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for close inter-departmental coordination and directed the concerned officers to ensure that all planned activities are organised in a befitting and meaningful manner. He called for encouraging active participation of people from all sections of society so that the campaigns reach both urban and rural communities across the district.
Emphasising the importance of community ownership, the DC called upon the departments to involve educational institutions, youth, women, PRIs, civil society organisations, market associations and other stakeholders in the planned activities. He underscored that the campaigns should reflect the spirit of patriotism, national unity and collective participation.
The DC further directed the officers to organise the day-wise calendar of activities and ensure timely execution, proper coordination and wide dissemination of the programmes to maximise public participation.
The meeting was attended by ADC Mahima Madan, PO ICDS Mohammed Syed Khan, GM DIC Mushtaq Chaudhary, IAS Probationer Nidhi, CPO Ranjeet Thakur and other district officers concerned.
