During routine patrolling a Police party from Police Post Keegam seized three Tractors found engaged in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals without mandatory permission. In this regard, case FIR No. 150/2026 under relevant provisions of law has been registered in Police Station Shopian and investigation has been initiated.
Police reiterates its firm commitment to protecting the district’s natural resources and ensuring strict legal action against those involved in illegal mining.
