RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC), District Level Consultative Committee and District Level RSETI Advisory Committee (DLRAC) meeting to assess the performance of banks and review the implementation of the financial inclusion and social security schemes in the district, with a special focus on the Priority Sector.
The meeting was attended by CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather; GM DIC Ravinder Anand; ACD Sheraz Ahmed; Lead District Officer RBI Sorabh Gupta; LDM Davinder Singh; Director RSETI S. Harvinder Singh; Cluster Head J&K Bank Nirdesh Sharma; AGM NABARD Nikhil Sharma and senior officers of District Administration and Bankers.
The meeting was informed that the district's Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio has increased by 3.68%, reaching 71.68% as on June 30, 2026, compared to the previous fiscal year ended on March 31, 2026. An amount of ₹92.79 crore has been spent under the Priority Sector, achieving 13.20% of the ₹702.83 crore Annual Credit Plan (ACP) 2026-27 targets. The Non-Priority Sector saw a credit outlay of ₹117.61 crore.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Bankers to achieve the targets under priority sector especially Education, Housing and Social Infrastructure. He directed bankers to work in close coordination with all line departments for better implementation of schemes and service delivery. The DC instructed banks to organize more awareness camps in uncovered areas to sensitize the public about various social; security, financial inclusion and youth and Job oriented schemes.
Calling for swift processing of loan cases under PM VISHWAKARMA and KCC, the DC stressed on timely benefits to local youth. He also directed Departments and Bankers to intensify their efforts to achieve the targets under PMEGP and other schemes providing loans to the youth under Mission YUVA. He also directed the officers to take lead in implementation of PMMY, PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY schemes in the district.
The DC instructed Bankers and Departments to adopt a structured approach for achieving 100% performance under all government-sponsored schemes, especially Mission YUVA and other job oriented schemes.
Chairing the District Level RSETI Advisory Committee (DLRAC) meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the performance of the institute. He also emphasized the need to enhance market-relevant training, increase the number of eligible cases and ensure financial and marketing linkages to empower the unemployed youth. Meanwhile, Director RSETI presented an overview of the achievements, ongoing initiatives and training programmes.
