KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today chaired a meeting of the District Task Force (DTF) to review and finalize the preparedness for the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI)–2025 programme scheduled to be conducted across the district on 21st December.  During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner received a comprehensive briefing from the Health Department regarding the strategies, logistics, and targets to be achieved under IPPI–2025. 

He emphasized the critical importance of ensuring complete coverage of all eligible children, reiterating that no child should be left unvaccinated during the campaign. Stressing the need for dedication, coordination, and timely execution, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to mobilize adequate manpower, strengthen field-level monitoring, and ensure seamless functioning of all vaccination booths.

He directed the health teams to intensify community outreach and awareness activities so that parents are fully informed about the significance of polio immunization. Earlier, the meeting was apprised through a detailed presentation covering the district’s plan, booth-wise arrangements, logistics management, transit and migratory population coverage, and communication strategies for the Pulse Polio round scheduled for December 21, 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, District Information Officer, Deputy CMO, Block Medical Officers, CDPOs, and other concerned officials from the health and ICDS departments.
