DODA: The Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) and Childline under the aegis of District Social Welfare Department organized a tribute paying event here in the Government Boys Higher Secondary School to commemorate the supreme sacrifice, courage and unmatched bravery of the Sahibzadas. The day is observed as Veer Bal Diwas across the Country.

The event featured an array of activities including essay writing and painting competitions, singing and cultural presentations to encourage creativity and awareness among students. Based on merit and performance, first, second and third prizes were awarded in each category.

Around 60 students participated in different competitions and 300 individuals including students, teachers, parents and departmental staff witnessed the programme. All wings of the Social Welfare Department, including DHEW, Childline, ICPS and CCI participated to ensure smooth conduct of the programme.

Students delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the historical importance of Veer Bal Diwas and underscored how the courage and sacrifice of the Sahibzadas continue to inspire values of patriotism, bravery, and moral strength. The programme concluded on an inspiring note, successfully spreading awareness about India’s rich cultural heritage and instilling a strong sense of national pride and responsibility among the younger generation.
