KATHUA: The culmination ceremony of Sansad Khel Spardha was organised today at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, Kathua, marking the successful conclusion of a series of sports activities aimed at promoting sports culture and encouraging active participation of youth across the district.
Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up of various multi-disciplinary sports events including Tug of War, Chess, Kabaddi, Athletics, Wrestling, Volleyball and Badminton.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the enthusiasm, discipline and sporting spirit displayed by the participants and underlined the importance of sports in overall personality development of youth.
On the occasion, live streaming of Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 was also arranged, during which the Prime Minister interacted with young athletes from across the country. The athletes present on the occasion also took inspiration from the success stories of accomplished sportspersons, who shared their journey of perseverance, dedication and achievements while interacting with the Prime Minister.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Vishavjeet Singh; Chief Planning Officer, Ranjit Thakur; General Manager DIC, Programme Officer ICDS, ACR, ADC, DYSSO, district officers and a large number of young athletes were present on the occasion.
