REASI: Under the visionary leadership of Khalil Choudhary, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Reasi (also Principal District & Sessions Judge Reasi) along with Pooja Gupta, Secretary DLSA Reasi, District Legal Services Authority organized a series of awareness programs on theme "Protect Today, Secure Tomorrowâ focused on Environmental Legal Literacy and Community Protection across the district including Legal Literacy Club, Govt. High School Ghair Marhi, Mahore and main markets of Katra.
The program educated students and the public on pollution exposure, air quality awareness, unsafe environmental conditions and lowâcost preventive measures such as mask usage in which Ranjeet Singh, Assistant LADC DLSA Reasi, served as the resource person.
Additionally, DLSA Reasi launched a social media awareness campaign on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, sensitizing parents, teachers, and children about child rights and legal safeguards against sexual offences.
Another program at Govt. Middle School Sherpur, Katra highlighted the POSH Act, empowering women against sexual harassment and reinforcing their rights to equality, dignity, and safe workplaces in which Bhumika Rajput and Rishav Sharma, Assistant LADCs were the resource persons.
Further, at the Common Facility Centre, Pouni in collaboration with the Block Development Office, an awareness drive on Solid Waste Management was conducted, emphasizing segregation, reduction, reuse and recycling of waste.
The programs witnessed enthusiastic participation from staff, students, PLVs and the general public, reflecting DLSA Reasiâs commitment to community empowerment and legal literacy.
