JASROTA: MLA Rajiv Jasrotia today expressed heartfelt gratitude following the sanction of ₹10.25 crore for the permanent restoration of PWD roads damaged during the flash floods in August 2025. The development marks a decisive step towards safer connectivity, stronger infrastructure, and sustainable growth in the Jasrota constituency. The sanctioned restoration work in Jasrota will cover several key roads and infrastructure, ensuring improved connectivity and safety for residents. The Plah Morh to Teda Link Road will be restored at a cost of ₹1.23 crore, while the Plah Morh to Kumri via Androte Link Road will receive ₹60 lakh for rehabilitation. The Logate Ghatti Link Road has been allocated ₹5 lakh, and the Hatli Link Road will be repaired with ₹50 lakh.

The Reti to Panchayat Ghar Shamshan Ghat Road will be restored at ₹18 lakh, and Hote Link Road at ₹33 lakh. The PMGSY Road to Mohalla Parangol Road will receive ₹8.8 lakh, and the Logate Gatterwan Link Road will be improved at ₹70 lakh. Budhi Thanoon Link Road has been allotted ₹2 lakh, while the Pandrar Link Road to SIDCO Industries will be restored with ₹9 lakh.Further, Dunga Ghatti Road (Ward No. 5) will be repaired at ₹5 lakh, and Parnanan Link Road at ₹16 lakh. The Mohani Mohalla Road has been sanctioned ₹8 lakh for restoration. The Culvert at D-9 Falote Jawalapur will be repaired at a cost of ₹17 lakh, and Katli Link Road and its allied links will receive ₹50 lakh.

The Dinga Amb Bazar Link Road and the Link Road from Kadetar to Dinga Amb have been allocated ₹50 lakh and ₹20 lakh, respectively. The Dhabi to Bavetee Link Road will be restored with ₹70 lakh, while Mangloor to Ladoli via Jumble Dode will receive ₹30 lakh. The Lokhli PHE Tubewell via Prillan to Jardian has been allotted ₹10 lakh, and Badholi to Krimchi Link Road ₹20 lakh.Significant infrastructure works also include the Katli Bridge, which will be reconstructed at a cost of ₹3 crore, and the Vented Causeway on Magloor to Garh via Balote Road, which has been allocated ₹50 lakh. These restoration works are expected to strengthen connectivity, enhance safety, and boost overall development across the Jasrota constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Jasrotia highlighted that the allocation would cover key roads across the constituency, connecting villages, markets, and educational and healthcare hubs. He stressed that the restoration of these roads would directly improve daily life for residents, facilitate smoother transport of goods and services, and enhance emergency response capabilities in flood-prone areas.MLA Jasrotia also emphasized the broader socio-economic impact of the project. “Reliable road infrastructure is the backbone of development,” he said, adding that restored connectivity would boost local trade, tourism, and employment opportunities. He underlined that linking remote villages with better roads ensures equitable access to schools, hospitals, and government services, strengthening the overall welfare of the constituency.

The MLA further assured that all restoration works would be executed with quality and durability in mind, preventing recurrent damage from future natural calamities. Specific allocations include roads like Plah Morh to Kumri via Androte link road, Katli Bridge, Vented Causeway on Magloor to Garh via Balote road, and several others, ensuring comprehensive coverage across Jasrota’s diverse terrain.

Concluding his remarks, MLA Jasrotia thanked the government authorities and officials of the Public Works Department for prioritizing Jasrota and promised to closely monitor the restoration works. He appealed to constituents to cooperate with authorities during construction and expressed confidence that the project would transform Jasrota into a model constituency with robust infrastructure and improved connectivity, enhancing both safety and quality of life for the people.This initiative is being hailed as a major milestone for post-flood rehabilitation, reaffirming the commitment of elected representatives to public welfare, resilience, and sustainable development in the region.
