RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the progress of the ongoing development works and status of the proposed projects with regard to tendering and allotment.

The DDC laid emphasis on timely allotment of works, adherence to quality standards, transparency in execution and judicious utilisation of funds. He directed the concerned officers to strictly follow laid-down norms and ensure that public infrastructure projects are completed within the stipulated timelines.

The DC reviewed the site plan for the proposed street vending zone at Salani and directed Stakeholder departments to submit DPR for beautification of Salani, Panja Chowk and Gujjar Mandi Chowk to improve urban aesthetics and public convenience.

The progress of school infrastructure projects under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan was also reviewed in detail.  

The DDC directed the executing agencies to maintain close coordination, conduct regular field inspections and submit periodic progress reports to avoid delays and cost overruns.

The meeting was attended by CPO Maqsood Ahmed; Deputy Director Employment, Mohammad Nawaz; Executive Engineer Aftab Anwar; Executive Engineer Budhal; Executive Engineer Thanamandi; Executive Engineer Kalakote and Executive Engineer Nowshera and other concerned officers.
