BANDIPORA: The District Child Protection Unit Mission Vatsalya (Child Protection Services) Bandipora, today organized Bal Veer Diwas at N Academy Bandipora to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the younger sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who laid down their lives for truth and righteousness.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, teachers, and officials from various child protection institutions, including the Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board, DCPU, Child Helpline and Child Helpdesk Bandipora.

The event aimed to instill values of courage, resilience, and moral strength among children by recalling the unparalleled bravery of the Sahibzadas, who chose martyrdom over surrendering their faith.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson CWC Bandipora, Dr. Asima Hassan highlighted the historical and moral significance of Bal Veer Diwas, emphasizing that the day reminds society of the extraordinary courage shown by the young sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji at a very tender age. She stressed the need to inculcate such values among children to help them grow into responsible and fearless citizens.

Resource Person POIC, underlined that the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas stands as a timeless example of standing firm for truth and justice. She urged students to draw inspiration from their lives and uphold ethical values in their daily conduct.

Protection Officer also addressed the gathering and explained how the young martyrs displayed unmatched bravery by refusing to bow before injustice, even in the face of death. He emphasized that Bal Veer Diwas serves as a reminder of the power of conviction, courage, and faith. The programme concluded with interactive sessions and messages encouraging children to develop confidence, moral strength, and awareness of their rights and responsibilities.
