RAMBAN: District Hospital Ramban has marked a significant milestone with the successful performance of its first-ever aesthetic (cosmetic) surgical procedure. A 22-year-old male patient with bilateral Type IIb Idiopathic Gynecomastia underwent bilateral subcutaneous mastectomy under epidural analgesia.

The surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Yassar Arafat along with Dr. Syed Muzammil. Comprehensive preoperative evaluation, including a detailed hormonal profile, was carried out and found to be within normal limits.

Anaesthesia services were expertly managed by Dr. Reyaz Dagloo. The surgical team was efficiently assisted by Zahoor, Haroon and Reyaz, whose support contributed greatly to the smooth conduct of the procedure.

This achievement represents the first aesthetic/cosmetic surgery of its kind at District Hospital Ramban, highlighting the expanding surgical capabilities of the institution and its commitment to providing advanced healthcare services at the district level. Pertinently, all surgical procedures at DH Ramban are done under the able guidance of MS DH Ramban, Dr Sudershan Singh Katoch and leadership of Dr Mohammad Rafi, Consultant Orthopedics DH Ramban.
