"Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore" campaign culminates in District Doda

DODA: On the concluding day of the Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore Campaign, a series of awareness programmes, Gram Sabhas, and grievance redressal activities were successfully conducted across Doda district, marking the culmination of celebrations held under Good Governance initiatives.

An Awareness -cum- Grievance redressal camp was organised at Chinote, Bhaderwah, by the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Bhaderwah under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh  and District Social Welfare Officer Doda, Zubair Ahmad. The campaign witnessed active participation from multiple departments, blocks, and panchayats across the district.

At Chinote, the camp focused on creating awareness about various Social Welfare schemes, with special emphasis on the Marriage Assistance Scheme for daughters of families holding IAY/BPL ration cards. Beneficiaries were briefed in detail about eligibility criteria, documentation requirements and application procedures. Several grievances related to welfare schemes were raised by the public and many of them were addressed and resolved on the spot, ensuring timely relief and effective service delivery.

Simultaneously, district wide activities were carried out in different blocks and panchayats. Good Governance activities were organised at Block Changa, while ED-JPDCL Doda Sub-Division Bhaderwah conducted outreach and awareness programmes in its jurisdiction.

Gram Sabhas and awareness camps under the Viksit Bharat–Gram Panchayat (VB G-RAM G) initiative were organised by BDO Kahara at Panchayats Malanoo, Joura Khurd, Kencha Bitola and at St. Basti Houja, Panchayat Jia. BDO Chilly Pingal also organised Gram Sabhas at Panchayat Manob and conducted VB G-RAM G awareness camps to sensitize the public about the objectives of the new scheme.

In addition, the Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Doda conducted verification, inspection and awareness programmes regarding Legal Metrology compliances at Jathi, Kanderi Nallah and adjoining areas.

A large number of citizens participated in these activities, raising issues related to public services and governance. The successful culmination of the Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore Campaign across the district reflected the administration’s strong commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusive development by taking governance directly to the grassroots and ensuring citizen-centric service delivery.
