UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting to review preparedness for the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign 2025. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Prem Singh; PO Poshan, Subash Chander; Chief Medical Officer Dr Anil Manhas; functionaries from ICDS, Education and other stakeholder Departments.
The DC reviewed booth management, vaccination team deployment, transit site coverage, logistics and cold chain arrangements. She emphasized 100% coverage of all children below 5 years to ensure the district remains polio-free. She directed officers to intensify awareness activities, particularly in remote and high-risk habitations and transit points.
The DC impressed upon the line departments to work in close coordination and ensure the success of the national health mission. She instructed for deploying special monitoring teams and daily reporting for effective supervision.
The CMO briefed about the micro-plan, availability of vaccine stock and training status of the field staff. It was informed that door-to-door teams, fixed booths and mobile units will be established to cover every eligible child during the IPPI round. “A total 535 vaccination booths would be set up in different parts of the district to cover 86192 children of 0-5 years for vaccination. Further 13 transit camps, 04 mobile teams along with 110 supervisors, 05 district monitors will be deployed to monitor the drive,” he added.
