SHOPIAN: Government Degree College (GDC) Shopian today conducted a special academic session on the theme “Transforming Higher Education into a Knowledge Society”, echoing the reformative spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event aimed to foster dialogue on strengthening India’s higher education system for a rapidly evolving global knowledge ecosystem.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, Prof. Mohammad Shafiq, who highlighted the urgent need to reimagine and redesign higher education to meet contemporary challenges and prepare students for emerging opportunities. Coordinator IQAC, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Bhat, delivered the Keynote Address, presenting an in-depth and insightful presentation on the central theme.
