- DC flags off expedition organised to promote fitness among youth
REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik today flagged off a trekking contingent of 100 boys and girls students for a five-day residential trekking camp at Patnitop. The camp has been organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with the District Administration Reasi to promote adventure sports, physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, discipline and environmental awareness among the youth.
Addressing the students, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged them to actively participate in the camp and make the most of the opportunity. She emphasized the importance of adventure-based activities in building self-confidence, resilience and a sense of responsibility towards the environment. The DC also advised the participants to strictly adhere to safety guidelines, maintain discipline and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the camp.
The Deputy Commissioner lauded the efforts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports for organizing the trekking camp and providing a platform for the holistic development of youth. She extended her best wishes to the participants for a safe, enriching and memorable trekking experience. District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Tarsem Singh, DIO Information and other officials from the Youth Services and Sports Department were present on the occasion.
