SHOPIAN: The Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Shopian organized a National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) Mela here at Shopian today which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, trainees and various reputed firms. A large number of students and representatives from different firms attended the programme, making it an interactive and impactful platform for promoting apprenticeship opportunities.

During the event, ITI students delivered detailed presentations on the NAPS scheme, highlighting its objectives, importance and the wide range of benefits it offers to both trainees and establishments. The presentations aimed to raise awareness about how apprenticeships enhance employability, skill development and industry exposure.

The Mela was attended by Industry and firms dealing with food processing, automotive, logistics and horticulture sectors.The event generated an overwhelming response, with around 100 students registering for various apprenticeship opportunities offered by the participating firms. These registrations reflect the growing interest among youth in gaining hands-on industry experience through structured apprenticeship programmes.  ITI Shopian reiterated its commitment to continuously promoting skill development, industry linkage and career opportunities for the youth of the district.
