PULWAMA: In furtherance of its ongoing efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse, Police in Pulwama organised Drug Awareness Programmes at Abbu Hanifa School Rajpora, GSCI Malikpora Pulwama and Sumo Stand, Lassipora.
During these programmes, officers from Pulwama Police held interactive sessions with students, youth and members of the public, sensitising them about the harmful physical, psychological and social impacts of drug abuse, while emphasising the long-term consequences of substance abuse and the importance of making informed, healthy life choices.
These awareness programmes witnessed active participation, with attendees being encouraged to stay away from drugs and to act as ambassadors of a drug-free society within their communities. Parents, teachers and community members were urged to remain vigilant and to guide the younger generation towards positive and constructive activities.
J&K Police reiterated its commitment to continue such preventive and awareness initiatives and appealed to the public to extend full cooperation in building a safe, healthy and drug-free society.
