UDHAMPUR: District Administration Udhampur today organised a District-level workshop on Good Governance Practices and Initiatives being implemented under the nationwide “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign, here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex, Udhampur. The workshop was held under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai with the objective of promoting citizen-centric governance, effective redressal of public grievances and strengthening the public service delivery system.
Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore presided over the programme. Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting Good Governance practices and initiatives undertaken by the District Administration Udhampur. He laid special emphasis on efficient online public service delivery and grievance redressal mechanism. Sharing his experiences and views, the ADC stated that good governance is measured by the accessibility of the administration to the public and the effective percolation of benefits of welfare schemes to genuine beneficiaries.
Addressing the gathering, the ADDC advised officers to work with dedication, zeal and a positive mindset while maintaining a stress-free and healthy work environment. He advised officers to remain accessible to the public, uphold punctuality and diligence in official duties and maintain credibility at all levels. The ADDC further underscored the need to adopt public-friendly mechanisms by simplifying online service delivery to enhance efficiency and transparency. Additionally, several other officers also shared their field experiences and offered valuable suggestions aimed at further improving governance practices and service delivery in the district.
