ANANTNAG: Police in Anantnag organized a comprehensive awareness programme on career progression, drug abuse, and cybercrime at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Aishmuqam. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 500 students and staff members.
The programme was graced by distinguished speakers including ASP North (Camp Ashmuqam) Shri Ramiz Raja, SDPO Pahalgam Shri Farooq Ahmad, and SHO PS Aishmuqam, who addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights on the themes of the event.
During the session, the speakers sensitized students about the importance of informed career planning and highlighted various opportunities available in different fields. They also stressed the urgent need to stay away from drug abuse, elaborating on its harmful physical, psychological, and social impacts.
A detailed awareness session on cyber safety was also conducted, where students were educated about responsible digital behaviour, protection from online frauds, and the importance of reporting cyber-related offences promptly.
The school administration appreciated the efforts of J&K Police for conducting such informative programmes aimed at empowering students and ensuring their well-being. J&K Police reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such community-oriented initiatives to guide and safeguard the youth.
