KATRA: The two-day International Conference on Emerging Trends in Biosciences and Chemical Technology (ETBCT-2025) held at the School of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, J&K, concluded successfully, offering a platform for cross-disciplinary discussions, knowledge-sharing, and global collaboration. The event attracted over 200 participants, including distinguished researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from across the world.The conference was inaugurated by Shri Satish Sharma, Hon’ble Minister of Department of Science & Technology, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, ARI & Training, Government of Jammu & Kashmir.

Dignitaries included Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SMVDU, and Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director, SMVD Institute of Medical Excellence, who joined as the Special Invitee.The highlight of ETBCT-2025 was its exceptional lineup of international experts, whose plenary sessions and invited talks covered diverse and cutting-edge topics in the fields of Health Sciences, Molecular Biology, Microbial Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, and more. Dr. Indu Bhushan, the Convenor of the conference, played an instrumental role in bringing together over 25 internationally renowned speakers and securing vital funding, making the conference an outstanding success.
