• Stressed on supporting farmer's enrollment under DAKSH Kissan for successful outcome

KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today chaired a District Level Committee (DLC) meeting to conduct a thorough sector wise review of schemes in the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district.

The meeting delved into a detailed review of achievements made thus far. The ADDC besides CAO Kishtwar/Nodal officer HADP Amjad Hussain Malik provided an overview of the district's progress in the schemes under HADP, highlighting that 1014 applications have been received by agriculture and allied sector departments. Of these, 917 have been approved under Agriculture Sector, 39 under Horticulture sector, 53 under Animal Husbandry Sector and 02 under Marketing sector by DLC.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for field officers to ramp up their targets in a timely manner and support farmers and beneficiaries in navigating the application process and enrollment under DAKSH Kissan ensuring a seamless and successful outcome.

During the meeting, DC Kishtwar also took status of ongoing projects besides examining proposals for establishing Cattle and Poultry Feed Units in the district, seeking input from agriculture officers.

DC emphasised the participation of  officers of Agriculture and allied sectors along with Bankers in ensuing  Kisaan Sampark Abhiyan. ADDC Kishtwar was mandated to oversee the participation of all.

This move aims to foster development and address the needs of these regions, ensuring comprehensive agricultural and allied sector support for the district's holistic progress.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized a collective, collaborative effort among district and sectoral Officers urging accountability for target achievement across all sectors. A target-driven, modular approach was stressed to ensure tangible outcomes in implementing the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) within the district.

DC underscored the importance of holding field functionaries and Area Extension Officers accountable for their performance. He warned of stringent actions against those exhibiting subpar performance. This emphasis on accountability aims to motivate greater diligence and responsibility in meeting set objectives, ensuring a more effective and efficient execution of the HADP. He urged to instill a culture of responsibility and drive towards achieving and surpassing the outlined targets in the district's agricultural development.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Ghulam Rasool, CAO Kishtwar/Nodal Officer HADP Amjad Hussain Malik, CHO Sajjid Mustafa, LDM Kishtwar Harsh Rawal besides other concerned officers and field functionaries of Agriculture and allied sector.
