DODA: In a major step towards fostering youth empowerment and employment generation, the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Doda approved 326 self-employment cases under the Mission YUVA initiative, here today. The Committee met under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, who is also the Chairman of the DLIC.
The meeting was attended by DLIC members including Additional District Development Commissioner Doda (Nodal Officer, Mission YUVA) Roshan Lal; Assistant Director Employment and other concerned officers.
Addressing the Committee, the Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh highlighted that Mission YUVA is not merely a financial assistance program, but a comprehensive initiative designed to nurture entrepreneurship, innovation and self-reliance among the youth. He further emphasized the importance of capacity building, mentoring and continuous handholding, supported by a robust monitoring mechanism to ensure long-term sustainability of the ventures sanctioned under the scheme.
