JAMMU: Apni Party Provincial Vice President, Jammu, Ex-MLA Prem Lal has called on the Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha. During his meeting with the LG J&K, Prem Lal demanded compensation/rent for the landowners in Kathua District for the construction of a ditch cum band.
“The Army has taken over the possession of the land from the landowners and did not give compensation / rent of the land that is being used for ditch cum band construction,” he said. He urged the LG J&K for his intervention so that the landowners could get the compensation / rent of the land because majority of them have no other source of income.
“The compensation / rent of the land has been pending since the last 30 years (1996),” he informed the LG. He also requested that the J-Form should be removed. The LG J&K gave him a patient hearing and assured that he would look into the issue raised by the Former MLA.
